15 years later after its completion and widespread global media attention and coverage including an entire episode of HOME, the very popular Docuseries by Apple TV+, the newly opened M+ Museum Hong Kong on Visual Culture, has invited us to create a 1:1 Abstract Duplicate of the project as a significant specially commissioned installation; here the Compact Home was entirely classed in Hairline Stainless Steel, with the significant track system being further updated, as well as more site-specific lighting; with equally challenging transportation (into 3 pieces) from the factory in Dongguan to M+ Museum at West Kowloon, each estimated to be around 3.5 tons. The project serves as a representative example of sophisticated off-site construction followed by transportation on-site minimising with the workload in the destinated venue.
